Normal-Below 5.7 percent

Prediabetes-between 5.7 and 6.4 percent Diabetes-6.5 percent or higher on two separate tests

-A blood sample will be taken after an overnight fast.

Normal-less than 5.6 mmol/L 

Prediabetes-from 5.6 to 6.9 mmol/L

Diabetes-7 mmol/L or higher on two separate tests.
